What Do Dads Want for Fathers Day?

Just like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day is also taking place under extraordinary circumstances this year. British families are self-isolating under lockdown and, therefore, nipping out to find a gift isn’t quite as simple and straightforward as it was prior to all of this.
Fortunately, it means that we are finding joy in the smallest of things. Whether it is sitting in the sunniest part of the garden, having a lie-in (for those of us with older kids!), or watching a film together, celebrating a special occasion has had to take on a new direction over the last few months.

That means there will be no hugs or kisses, but what will make me happy and be the best gift ever is a video call for some virtual hugs and kisses to let me know that I was in their thoughts and hearts on Father’s Day.”

In lockdown, our world has become a closer, smaller place and the important things are really what matters. They take on a bigger meaning – especially as Ross has taken on the role of main carer for the kids since March.
