Making Seasoned Kale Crisps with the SEVERIN Dehydrator

This week Homespares.co.uk have challenged our family to the SEVERIN Great Oven Ban Challenge by sending me six products from their kitchen range to review. So far I have reviewed the Sous Vide and the Yoghurt Maker. Now I introduce you to their Dehydrator.

I have to admit that I have wanted one of these for a while now. I want to be able to make my own crackers, dried fruit and herbs and one of the things I crave on a regular basis (yes, really!) is kale crisps.

I have a great seasoning recipe which I use to make them much tastier than just crisping up the kale leaves. In fact, it is so tasty that Grace loves it too! Please see this underneath my video.

Our Verdict

I am really pleased with our new dehydrator. It is straightforward to use, easy to clean and I can see it becoming a regular part of our kitchen appliances.

The SEVERIN Dehydrator costs £48.99 and is available from www.HomeSpares.co.uk

  1. Hi Victoria, now this is one appliance I have toyed about getting and wondered if they actually work. We do dry our own meat to make biltong and I enjoy dried fruit like apples, bananans and berries, but some of them aren’t cheap. My husband made the biltong drier, but it’s a little big for fruit. Will seriously have to consider it now.
