FREE Eco-Friendly Book with Pip and Henry

Since lockdown began back in March, I have become even more aware of the environment and recycling, which includes how we dispose of things. Our whole family are converted. So, when the brand new eco-friendly company, Pip and Henry came to my attention I was very excited.

Who are Pip and Henry

Children’s footwear is probably one of the markets which has the least sustainability. However, Pip and Henry are looking to change all that. They have a fantastic idea for truly sustainable footwear for children. These come accompanied by accessories and merchandising. The eco-friendly and contemporary footwear is currently just for small children aged 2-5 years. However, they have plans to expand into other age groups very soon.

Pip and Henry are able to create beautiful, high-quality products from renewable materials and take responsibility for providing parents with eco-friendly choices when purchasing products for their children.

They are not just another consumer product brand though! Pip and Henry differentiates itself by incorporating features that extend their products’ lifespan and reduce the need for parents to buy multiple instances of the same product. So, whilst you may pay a little more upfront, in the long run, you are saving money as well as the planet.

Pip and Henry are offering a great way of recycling so that used products can be returned, and then either reused if still in good condition, or the materials re-purposed.

Pip and Henry’s Aim

Pip and Henry are looking to become a narrative-led brand that educates and supports children in making more sustainable choices in their everyday lives. They are keen to familiarise little ones with the issues facing our planet, to encourage an appreciation for nature, and foster an ideology of thoughtful consumption and actions – in a fun, creative way.

In order to help with this, they are bringing alive the characters of Pip and Henry (a little girl and her pet dinosaur) by creating inspiring content including storybooks and animation, creative packaging and playful product inserts. They are hoping that the familiarity of the characters will help shape the mindsets and behaviours of our little customers in the right direction from a young age so that eco-friendly becomes a natural choice.

The Pip and Henry Book

The Pip and Henry book has been written to help bring to life the eco-challenges around the existing fashion industry which in turn educates children. It helps them to understand what happens to our old clothes and shoes when they are thrown out and the landfills which contain them. In turn, it means they can see what impact that has on the world around them.

As a result of this, the book then helps to instil the thoughts of Pip and Henry and how they have the idea of making eco-friendly shoes out of natural bio materials. It ends with a call to the children to ask them to start being mindful about their future and what they can do to help make the planet a greener, happier place to live.

Pip and Henry also want to involve the parents in this conversation and share with their children what they are doing in their households to save the planet. From the smaller actions such as recycling everyday plastics and picking up rubbish outside their homes, to planting things and joining action groups.

By celebrating these acts, the children can join the eco-friendly ‘superheroes’ Pip and Henry in their quest and, in turn, give it will give them the confidence to keep moving in the right direction. This call to action is what you will see at the end of the book.
