Grace’s Dream Pet in Collaboration with Petplan

When you have a pet, it is important to make sure that you have insurance. We have for our cat, Gypsy and we used to for our cat, Muse. This was really helpful when she passed away as it covered the costs involved with her cremation and the other related expenses.

Petplan are currently helping to raise awareness by organising a really lovely campaign where they are inviting children to design their own dream pet. Grace loves art so this is right up her street and she was only too happy to draw from her imagination. This drawing would then be transformed from an image on paper to a soft toy for her to keep.

Who are Petplan?

Petplan were introduced in 1976 and their priority has always been to keep a watchful eye on our pets and make sure they stay healthy. Pet Insurance from Petplan is a competitive pet insurance policy and they back it up with great customer service. They have helped millions of owners to ensure that their pets are nursed back to health following an injury or illness.

Petplan are one of the only insurers to offer genuine ‘lifetime’ policies. In addition to this, they also have a 12 month policy designed to suit everyone. They also work with over 1,200 animal charities throughout the UK and, in 1994, they formed the Petplan charitable trust which has helped to raise more than £7million.

What did Grace draw?

Meet Twinkle Toes! Drawn on a snow day back in March, she is pink and orange, has a gold star on her tummy, gold hooves, gold ears, strings of gold stars in her tail and mane and a gold star on the tip of her horn which is pink and gold.

How does her toy look?

Beautifully presented in a purple, drawstring bag, her toy turned up looking very familiar to her drawing. Twinkle Toes had been brought to life and will be a treasured possession for years to come.
