Rex Taste Tests the For Aisha Baby Food Range

We first started weaning Rex when he was 4 months old. I did the same for Grace. With her, I hoped it would help with the colic she was dealing with. For Rex, it was a little more serious as we were trying to help with his reflux. It didn’t do much though and we continued to have to manage it.

Rex is now 10 months old and, since we started weaning him, his has tried a number of different products as well as homemade meals. He can be quite fussy about what he eats so, when the baby food brand, For Aisha contacted us, I was interested to see what he would make of it.

The For Aisha Baby Food Range

The For Aisha range is a delicious brand of halal baby food. They use natural, exotic ingredients which are full of variety and flavour. This is to help develop your little ones taste buds, taking the fussiness out of food and giving them the start they need for a lifetime of food experiences. They blend a range of pulses, fruits and vegetables with gentle spices and high quality British meat. The ingredients are 100% natural, have no added sugar or salt, and use no artificial additives, preservatives or flavourings.

Their products include baby food pouches from children from 7 months. The flavours include Vegetarian Tomato and Chickpea Curry, Mild Curried Chicken Dhal, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Chicken & Sweet Potato, as well as Moroccan Chicken Tagine and Shepherds Pie – both of which we were sent for the test.

They also offer toddler tray meals which are suitable from 10 months up to 3 years old. Flavours include Chicken & Sweet Potato Curry, Green Bean & Lamb Curry, Chicken, Quinoa & Vegetable Stew, Date & Apricot Tagine with Lamb, Chermoula Chicken Moroccan Stew with Dates, Chicken Guisada Mild Mexican Stew, Cambodian Fish & Coconut Curry and Fine French Ragout with Lamb.

My Thoughts

I have to say that I never give anything to Rex which I wouldn’t eat myself. I tasted both the Moroccan Chicken Tagine and the Shepherds Pie before giving it to him – and both were delicious. I would have quite happily eaten them myself!

I love the range and the variety. The name of each flavour is an invention in itself! I see that the products came about as a result of a family holiday where they noticed that children were eating flavours and healthy ingredients which you don’t typically see in UK baby food.

I will certainly be looking at adding to Rex’s eating experiences from the For Aisha range.

I think this short video we took of Rex speaks volumes!

The Result

Judging by Rex’s reaction, I think we can safely say that mummy isn’t the only one who enjoys the For Aisha range of baby food.
