Girls Talk – a Wot So #Funee Post
The festive period left us with so many funee moments with Grace that they got too many to list in the end! Firstly I am going to provide you with a few of the one-liners she came out with and then some slightly longer stories to finish up with!
Around 15 minutes into watching ‘Titanic’ ~ ‘So, when is this ship going to sink anyway?’
Watching ‘A Muppet Christmas Carol’ ~ ‘If I meet Scrooge I’m going to kick him in the nuts!’
On the last day of term ~ ‘Our teacher put ‘Danger in the Manger’ on, it was heart-breaking’
For Christmas we went down to Portland where Ross’ parents live. Grace loves it there as much as we do. Grace and I were sitting at the dining table whilst everyone else was preparing lunch. I said to Grace ‘You really like it here, don’t you Grace?’ ‘Yes,’ she replied ‘maybe Ross’ Mummy and Daddy could die and then we could live here for them’!
Grace had her birthday on 2nd January and turned 6. She blew out the candles on her cake, sat and squeezed her eyes tightly shut and then promptly turned to tell us that she had made a wish and that it was that she wished all the people in the world would be nice. My niece, Emily, who is 8 in May, tutted and said ‘You could have wished for a pony!’
Finally, toward the end of the Christmas Holidays I told Grace that she was eating too much chocolate and needed to get healthy by eating more fruit. ‘I know!’ she exclaimed ‘I have a chocolate orange I could eat!’
If only it was that easy!!
