Showing a full kit of the Edurino UK. The app which makes learning engaging.

Designed specifically for children aged 4 to 8 years old, this app offers a wealth of interactive activities and games that make learning a blast. From maths and reading to coding and design, Edurino UK covers all the bases. Say goodbye to traditional textbooks and hello to an exciting new way of learning. In this article, I will take a look at the key features of Edurino UK and how it can benefit your child’s education.

What is Edurino UK?

Edurino was an innovation which came about when the pandemic struck. The founders, Irene and Franziska, were surprised not to find any digital learning for young children that was both really fun and designed by education experts.

From there an expert team of teachers joined a group of game developers and graphic artists, and put together the programs to ensure that learning objectives are met through the challenges in all the mini games. The games align seamlessly with the EYFS and National curriculum, promoting school readiness skills.

Next, the testing! This was all carried out by children from their 100+ partner nurseries. As I think most people know, children are always very honest – and they wanted to ensure that children will want to play the games again and again, which means more practice, which means better learning!

How does Edurino UK work?

First stop is to purchase a starter pack. This comes with a figurine with their own learning world and an ergonomic pen for use on your tablet.

Once you have your starter pack, the next thing you need to do is download the Edurino Learning App onto your own device. It is 100% ad-free, no subscription needed and approved by KidSafe. Once downloaded, you simply create your account and configure the parental settings (there is screen time limit!) to match your needs. You can get the app on the Apple App Store, Google Play and even the Amazon Kids Tablet!

Once the parents settings are in place, it is your child’s turn! I will let Rex explain….

Once you have started the game, the app will teach your child how to use the Ergonomic Pen. This has been developed to teach correct pen grip and helps with fine-motor skills – all while playing the games.

There are 7 figurines to choose from. These are:

  • Mika – Phonics Skills
  • Ari – Body Parts
  • Niki – Word Games
  • Yuki – Creativity and Design
  • Asa – Plants and Wildlife
  • Robin – Early Shapes and Numbers
  • Luca – Early Coding Skills

Features and Activities Available on Edurino UK

Not only can you purchase starter packs, the figurines are also available individually. Accessories include an extra pen, a carry case which holds up to 6 figures and your pen and also a sticker and activity book.

On top of this, you can also buy bundles ranging from 2 figurines and a pen, all the way up to 6 figures, a pen and a carry case.

Our thoughts on why Edurino makes learning engaging

Both Rex and I are totally impressed with Edurino. Rex’s favourites are the chaos monsters on the Creativity and Design World with Yuki (I can see why!). But there is SO much to do on just one world that is he hasn’t even got started with Luca and Asa’s worlds yet. One of the many things that I am impressed with is the fact that he will be able to play this on long car journeys without any internet. It also gives me peace of mind that we can set time limits – and that there aren’t any annoying adverts trying to push stuff at him!

Overall, the Edurino UK app offers a unique and effective approach to engage children in learning. By incorporating interactive and gamified features, the app makes learning enjoyable and encourages children to retain information. Give it a try and see the positive impact it can have on your child’s learning journey.
