Losing Weight with Slimming World Week 17 & 18
This week’s Slimming World post is a round-up of the last two weeks. I have to admit that I hadn’t thought I would be writing a 2 weeker again so soon! This is not because I didn’t go to the weigh-in last week (I did) but because I was too poorly to write my post last week. In fact, everything bar my way of eating had to take a backseat whilst I got myself better.
Whilst I am not yet 100%, I do feel a heck of a lot better than I did this time last week! So, lots of questions. Did I lose all of my Christmas weight? Have I reached a sensible BMI yet? And, how close am I to my next award? Read on!

The Slimming World food I ate
The week before last was all about how I was going to handle my time away at a Photography Convention. It was nowhere near as tricky as I thought it would be. I took an Options chocolate drink for the evening in the hotel room. The next morning I had a banana for breakfast, grabbed a skinny latte after I got off of the tube and then, because I was so busy looking at things, I hardly had time for lunch. I had a banana and a fat free yoghurt and then, before setting off for home, I had some King Prawn Jambalaya I had made the night before.

I have to say that last week was difficult for so many reasons but mainly because I was poorly. Really poorly. I cannot remember the last time I felt like that. I am not right still now but nowhere near as bad as last week!
I still managed to meal plan though. I also managed to stay on track and try and eat a lot of free food (syn-free foods) to help myself feel better. One of the days, I served up some pork with spinach and onions and cauliflower rice. I was convinced Ross and Grace would hate it but, they absolutely loved it! The same with the cajun pork and apple burgers I made at the weekend with Slimming World chips and grilled baby sweetcorn!

It certainly helped that I had some ice cream left and a slab of chocolate in my drawer – which I took very small pieces of each day! – and this seemed to get my through. I didn’t really feel like eating that much though.
Favourite Discoveries of the Week
On Sunday, we all went to the Bell in Yeovil for lunch (a Hungry Horse pub) and I opted for the chicken roast but didn’t eat the Yorkshire pudding and only had one and a half roast potatoes. It was delicious! It also helped me realise that I was finally making sensible choices on my food without thinking too hard about it and without completely depriving myself. A change has definitely set in now!
How I felt
Rubbish. That’s it. I am not going to go on about this anymore.
Exercise
There was me saying that I was going to exercise last week, no matter what. I think we can safely say that this definitely did not happen! The kettle bells are still there, waiting for me and, if my chest improves at all this week, they will be starting to get some use!
The Slimming World meeting
I really missed staying to group last week. I went in to weigh whilst leaving Grace outside with Rex, and then leapt back out again. This week, with Ross around as well, I was able to stay. The numbers of people staying have definitely dwindled again in the last two weeks! Although, I am wondering if it is because so many people are poorly at the moment.
It was good to be able to share my thoughts with the group, as well as my surprise over the food my family ate!
Last week I was thrilled to have lost all my Christmas weight. This week I was even happier to see that I am now at my lowest ever weight on Slimming World.
After my weigh-in, I was really surprised to hear that I just have another 2.5lbs to go before I can claim my 2 stone award! Not bad going at all for 4 and a half months! That is an average loss of 1.41lbs a week.
Weigh-in
Weight at the beginning of my diet: 195.5lbs
Target weight: 156lbs
Weight the week before last: 174lbs
Weight last week: 172lbs
Loss for that week: -2lbs
Weight last week: 172lbs
Loss this week: -2lbs
New Weight: 170lbs
Total loss for the last two weeks: -4lbs
Total Loss so far: 25.5lbs
My thoughts
With the Christmas weight all gone, and the extra loss on top of that, I am feeling great. I am really looking forward to fitting into my old clothes again – as well as buying some new ones!
I have a couple of wedding exhibitions coming up for my photography so I have a couple of new dresses for those and am looking forward to looking at my best for them.
I am determined still to get that exercise sorted but I think it is more important that I get myself well first!
My goals for the next week
I am hoping to lose the 2.5lbs for my 2 stone award BUT I know how this has gone for me in the past so I am fully expecting to miss out by half a pound! No harm in trying though, is there?!
