Simpson Travel For Inspire Me Holidays

Each year, people look forward to booking a break with their family. Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my hard-earned cash to go to waste on a complete and utter letdown. And lets face it – it has happened and I have documented it on my blog.  So, when I saw that Simpson Travel were offering up an ambassador programme, I had to go over and take a look. What I found were an abundance of Inspire Me Holidays.

For the kids

As a family with a large age gap between our children, we have added requirements to try and keep a tween and a baby entertained. Thankfully, swimming is an all-rounder and, judging by all the properties on the Simpson Travel site, a pool comes right at the top of the list.

We would also like a creche to suit Rex so that Ross and I can have a bit of a break. It also means that Grace will benefit from both adult and child time as she is at an in-between age now.  Creches are provided at some of the Simpson Travel properties. This, coupled with the fact that they have experienced British NNEB-qualified nannies, means that we would feel comfortable leaving Rex to play for a while whilst we had some downtime. This isn’t to say that we don’t want him with us but anyone who is a parent knows that you just don’t get a holiday with a very small child in tow!

For the adults

At the end of the day, once the kids are in bed, Ross and I like to sit down with a bottle of wine and have good old chat. To be able to do this on a warm summers evening, sitting on a balcony taking in a beautiful view would really be the icing on the cake during our holiday.

After looking through some of the Villas in the Family Holidays section, I can safely say that views certainly aren’t lacking! Take a look at these:

It may mean that I am popping off to take a photo every so often – but then that would mean that Ross would get more of the wine to himself which I am sure he wouldn’t complain about! 😉

For the adventurers in us

The thing is, we aren’t lovers of a run-of-the-mill package holiday. We would like something a little different and we are looking for a location which is quiet and picturesque but close to different activities. We like sitting on the beach as much as the next family – but we also love to see what a place has to offer in the way of history and heritage. This was something we certainly did on our trip to Northern Ireland a couple of years ago. You can see much of what we did in this video:

With countries such as Crete, Corsica and Italy on offer, we can’t fail to find a location which will satisfy the explorers in us. With a hire car and a map, we are certain to find plenty of places to venture to.

For the photographer in me

Grace has her swimming. Ross has his books. Rex has his toys. Me? I have my camera. Without doubt, photography is usually top of my list when we are away. Here are a few images I have taken on our travels:

This isn’t quite so easy with a small baby in tow but with all the beautiful scenery on offer, I wouldn’t fail to make time to take an abundance of snaps (see creche above!). Of course, it would also mean I would have the chance to take some wonderful images of our children whilst making some very special memories.

For the poet in me

Who could fail to find inspiration
With any Simpson destination
A villa, apartment or hotel
Each location has a story to tell
Our family is seeking some R&R
For this we would love to travel afar
Never having ventured abroad
I have no doubt we would all applaud
If we were chosen as ambassadors
We would mark the days off on our calendars!
