Thanks to these two, I had another wonderful Mothers Day this year. We were sitting downstairs and Ross and Grace started to play fight – the perfect time for me to get out my camera. They are so funny together!

This evening, I took Graceto Hobbycraft in Yeovil with the Brownies to help out as they were completing their designer badge. I turned my hand to a bit of crafting too and came up with Eggbert Nobacon!

Thanks to blogging, Grace has had some amazing opportunities and none moreso than getting the chance to build and code her own computer thanks to Kano! Review to come soon.

Every morning on our walk to school, this fella never fails to come and say hello. We have started to call him the school run cat.

A lovely walk home from school in the sunshine. Ross and I had been to see Grace’s teacher and heard how fantastically she was getting on at school. She is really excelling in her maths. Ross decided to buy her a gift for doing so well (the more eagle-eyed among you, who know my family well, will notice something different in this photo!).

Grace and I went for a walk this afternoon and left Ross to work. She decided to bring her skipping rope and I decided to practice my faster shutter speeds. I really am loving using manual mode on my camera now.

  1. love the first pic, nice when they make you laugh. The skipping photo is care free. How cute is school run cat, they can be strange things can cats.
I admire the project of the self build computer, good one Grace.

  2. I was going to say the same as the boy and me! Where is his hair!?
    Love Mr Nobacon x

  3. I love both the first picture and the picture of Grace and Ross walking home. Lovely moments. Looks like someone else has had their long hair cut! x #project365

  4. Looks like you’ve had a peaceful week this week. Glad to hear you had a good Mother’s Day. I’ll be interested to hear how you get on with the Kano. Love the skipping photo – my daughter is just getting the hang of skipping and is doing it a lot at the moment!

  5. I salute your clever girl for starting on such an ambitious project as building a computer, I’d be totally useless, even with all the instructions at hand. Love the last image, so jolly and carefree. 🙂

  6. Looks like a lovely week, I too love the manual mode on my camera! I have so much more to learn though and do get frustrated with it at times. More practice required!!

  7. The thought of coding makes my brain whirr! I’m sure it’s simple but at my end of the school we have yet to do it – give it time though!

  8. I started coding at 16 so the Kano coding looks so interesting. I’ve wondered about whether it’s a wee bit young for z!
