Practical Festival Fashion for the UK

I have to admit that I have never been a big festival goer. I have been to Rewind Festival in Henley a few times (apprehensively to start with, I hasten to add) and that is about it. That said, I do love the fashion for any festival. Practical, yet stylish is really for me and, of course, you have to ensure that you dress for a British summer!

Here are the pieces of I feel should be most practical when it comes to festival fashion in the UK.

Jeans

Jeans are definitely a staple part of any wardrobe, let alone a festival wardrobe. They do have to be comfortable mind you but they are definitely hard-wearing and great to move around. The added bonus is that they go with most things too! I recently bought a fantastic pair of jeans from M & Co. This ‘lift and shape’ design use shape enhancing technology to give you a flattering streamlined figure – and they really work! Cut to a slim leg, it means that you can wear boots over the top of them easily.

Tunic

Tunics have always been one of my favourite items of clothing. They are comfortable, easy to wear and look fantastic too. If there was one brand I could choose, then it would definitely be Joe Browns. At the moment, I have my eye on this gorgeous Charming Sweat Tunic. Extremely stylish, it has hook and eye fastenings and would look great with the jeans and boots I have chosen.

Wristbands

Not only are they perfectly suited to festivals, wristbands are also a practical ‘must’ if you are part of a big group or family who have smaller children with you. Lancaster Printing’s custom silicone wristbands mean that you can get your mobile number printed onto a wristband so that, if they get lost, they can find you again easily. Of course, if you aren’t going with children, then you can have your group’s name or logo instead.

Hat

 

A hat is probably one of my favourite parts of any fashion. I know they aren’t for everyone but this Baker Boy hat would top this outfit off perfectly and would look great at a festival.

Boots

Another important part of your festival fashion is the footwear. I love the idea of these Triumph Wellington boots from Dune. They look like a really fashionable pair of wellies so double-up to protect your feet too. The ridged sole helps with your grip and stops you slipping plus they have a faux shearling lining to keep your feet and legs warm and dry.
