Neveo Monthly Photo Journals Make Keeping In Touch Easy #ad

Believe it or not, there are still many people who don’t have social media. Either they choose not to or they don’t really understand how it works – or both! Case in point is the majority of Ross’ family. One of them, Auntie Sylvia, lives around 4 hours away from us. She is elderly and doesn’t drive so it is tricky to keep her up to date on the family and, in particular, our children’s developments.

Neveo has come up with a brilliant, yet simple idea via an app for people who would still like to share memories and news with those members of the family, or friends, who you don’t see regularly and aren’t using modern technology.

How does Neveo work?

Neveo is an online company which you can sign into using an app or your PC. You can sign up for free and cancel your account at any time. You get the first 50 photos for 99p. After this, their subscription service offers you either 50 photos (£9.99 per month) or 100 photos (£14.99) per month.

During the course of the calendar month, you can upload your quota of photographs and write a description next to each one. You can also add other family members to enable them to upload their images too. This means that the whole family can get involved.

Neveo then collect the photos together, handles both the formatting and printing, put the journal together and then posts it to your chosen address, this includes worldwide delivery!

How we used Neveo for our photograph journal

The first time I used the service, I didn’t realise that I had to write a description for each photo. This meant that I had a blank space next to each one, with just my name at the top of the blank box! As a result, we have an incomplete journal. That said, the quality is fantastic. It is just like having a magazine full of photos.

I chose to just put the title as Grandparents but in your settings you can have names instead – something that I will make amends on next time.

With the blank descriptions, I will just hand write details in instead. What we do have though, is a booklet full of photos from our family holiday (including one set of Grandparents) to Center Parcs this year.

How we will use the service going forward

Now I have a better understanding of how Neveo works, we are going to use this for monthly updates to Auntie Sylvia. She doesn’t have a grasp on the latest technology so this journal will enable the rest of us who communicate via WhatsApp to include her in our updates too. With the great way that the account works, I shall be adding the rest of the family meaning we can all contribute and share the allocation between us.

Final thoughts

This is a fantastic service from Neveo. At first, I didn’t really give it much thought. I believed that it was probably another ‘flash in the pan’ app which will probably go nowhere. Now I understand it better, I believe that this will be one of the best Christmas presents that we will be giving this year. It is a fantastic tool. The fact that it will bring such joy to such a wonderful lady who lives on her own is just the best thing ever.
