NaPoWriMo Day 19 – Spread Your Wings and Fly
Just where is this month going?! NaPoWriMo Day 19 and my poem today is more reflective of the song lyrics I write. These are more like verses and all I really need to add is a chorus. I even have a bit of tune for this one (which is kind of rare for me!). Enjoy!
Spread Your Wings and Fly
Spread your wings and fly
Did you know we can get by
With a little faith
Only in your dreams
Things are never as they seem
Show a little grace
Take it all the way
Take it day by day
Show a little hope
Live life strong and true
In all the things you do
Slacken off the rope
As life goes on and on
Just sing a happy song
Give yourself a shove
With my words take heed
Cause all you really need
Is a lot of love
