Girls Talk – Grace and Not Having a Baby. A Wot So Funee Post.

It’s been a while since I shared some of Grace’s funees with you – that’s not to say that she hasn’t come out with some corkers, I just haven’t been so fantastic at noting them down when she does! But I have kept some – and with the times she has spent with Ross over the last couple of weeks, so has he!
First some short funees for you:
Watching X Factor one evening, an older couple came on to sing in front of the Judges. ‘Wow!’ said Grace, ‘they don’t look too excited. They’re old anyway, so no surprise really’.
Ross has been out rehearsing with his band and playing at gigs recently. One evening Grace comes out with ‘It seems so cold and lonely without Ross here!’
In the car on a long journey, we like to play the alphabet game and, on this occasion, we were taking it in turns with the letter and coming up with animals. We got to G and it was my turn. ‘Gnu’ I said. ‘Mum!’ exclaimed Grace, ‘you can’t have that, it’s a boat!’
We were discussing some school work one day and Grace explained that she has an exercise book called ‘Your View’ where she writes all her news in. She explained to me that she had written about her Dad (Ross) being in a band and being an ex wrestler. Joking with her I said ‘Oh Grace, why don’t you write about me?’ She came back ‘No Mum, you get enough attention. I was going to write about my life but that is just too complicated and would take too many pages and 60,000 years to write’!!
The evening when I was at the MAD Blog Awards, Grace decided it was too boring to watch the Twitter feed so Ross and Grace decided to watch the final Harry Potter film. Grace hadn’t seen it and, she didn’t realise that as a surprise the following day, we were off to the Harry Potter tour at Warner Brothers Studios. After the big battle at the end she sits there…silently…in awe…and then Filch starts sweeping up the massive piles of rubble. ‘Well,’ says Grace ‘that’s going to keep him busy for a while’.
Finally, if you are a regular reader of my blog then you will know that my brother and his wife had a baby last week. Grace was sitting on the toilet one day last week (one of the places she loves to have discussions with me!) and says ‘I’m am not going to have a baby. There is two choices; either I have loads of pain having a baby and then no sleep for 30,000 days or I just take a pill and never have to suffer any of that’. Oh if she only knew!
I’m linking up to Actually Mummy and her Wot So Funee linky

Ha ha she’s wrong about old folks – it’s them who have all the fun! Sounds as though she has parenthood all figured out, though…..
Oh bless her – she’s really growing up wince the last funee of hers I read a few months back! x
You had me at gnu! Too funny, Grace is hilarious 🙂
So funny! I particularly like gnu/canoe 🙂
I think I am probably 2000 days sleep deprived so just a few more to go!
Awww, bless her! Where do they get it all from?
Was Harry Potter good?
I love her view of having a baby! So much simpler to just swallow the pill 🙂
Loving the Harry Potter comment – saw this when Ross tagged you in it on FB and giggled just as much when I’ve read this today 😉 #funee
She’s hilarious. A right contender for Wot So Funee.
Must be a riot having her around if she’s that funny everyday.
Liska x
Aww….LOL! She’s so funny x
I love it when they come out with this stuff! I’m keeping a book of them for the boys when they’re older (as my Mum did for me and my sis) 🙂
Great idea 🙂
Having a baby definitely feels like you’re sleep deprived for 30,000 days!! 🙂
You’re not wrong there Tas! x
