Getting Excited for London Fashion Week
September’s London Fashion Week is almost here! Taking place between Thursday 12th September and Tuesday 17th September, London’s Fashion Week showcases the latest in hip and up-to-date clothing and accessories from leading designers including Mark Fast, Gayeon Lee and Victoria Beckham.
February’s Fashion Week was a roaring success, with designs boasting a mixture of bright, overly saturated hues and softer, earthy tones covering everything from evening formal dress to casual clothing.
This season, we expect more bright colours supplemented by neutral, natural tones and a selection of designer and stylish 2020 Spring/Summer clothing that is sure to keep you cool while ensuring you look the part. Whether you are looking for handbag inspiration, the latest trendy dress shirt studs or your next favourite outfit, London Fashion Week offers it all.

A First for This Year
Traditionally, London Fashion Week has been an event open exclusively to insiders and VIPs however for the first time, the four fashion festivals taking place in London, Paris, Milan and New York will be offering a selection of ticketed events open to the public to attend. Visitors will be able to see how the event takes place behind the scenes and visit the designer exhibition to learn more about the personal stories of the designers involved in the show. There are two types of tickets available, general entry with access to the catwalk show or front-row catwalk tickets that include exclusive catwalk views and access to the VIP lounge during the session. Where Is London Fashion Week?
London Fashion Week takes place at the British Fashion Council’s exhibition space at The Store X, an exclusive showroom located at 180 The Strand. It follows New York Fashion Week, taking place between Friday 6th September and Saturday 14th September. Milan Fashion Week follows London, taking place from Tuesday 17th September to Monday 23rd September and the final show, Paris Fashion Week takes place from Monday 23rd September to Tuesday 1st October. All events will be available to view online with recorded highlights commonly available a few weeks after the fashion weeks have closed.
Highlights from the February London Fashion Show
There was plenty to see at the London Fashion Week held in February, with plenty of beautiful and stunning Autumn/Winter outfits that saw lots of excitement from the fashion crowds. Here are some of our picks from February and which designers to keep an eye out for during the Spring/Summer event in September;
Pringle of Scotland
Keeping it simple, Pringle of Scotland showcased a cosy sweater dress in chic white. Easy to accessorise and jazz up with a bit of colour, choose to wear with brightly coloured accessories that make your outfit pop or stick to neutral and natural tones for a more formal appearance.
Erdem
Recognised for his expressive floral prints, there was a buzz in the air around the latest Erdem Moralioglu luxury fashion line, especially the beautiful women’s retro suit finished with an all-over intricate floral motif and button detailing on the hem. Don’t miss the stunning Elaina Dress either, in bright pop-art inspired colours and print.
Roland Mouret
One of the best received designers, Roland Mouret showcased a design range that not only caters to a range of women’s body types but looks good no matter your age too. With rich, deep reds and moving shades of dark blue and navy, in addition to a spectacular bold-print Brandon Fluid Cotton Dress.
