FREE Personalised Birthday Message from The Camberwell Cat

Have you experienced your birthday in lockdown? I have and I have to say I don’t think I ever felt closer to my little family that day. There are so many wonderful services making it easier for people – and one of those is The Camberwell Cat. A modern day cartoon for kids and their parents.

Who is The Camberwell Cat?

The Camberwell Cat is a cartoon show which has been brought to life by Nik & Neal Productions Ltd. It draws on both traditional animation and a contemporary approach to many different subjects and, as a result, produces a program which is familiar at the same time as being original.

Cam is the member of a typical 21st Century family who live in a town not too far away. Through his family and friends, we encounter characters with a variety of backgrounds who all have a contribution to make to his story and add an opportunity to learn and understand the world around them.

How does it work?

Using a child’s perspective of logic, Cam inspires children to think independently and question things around him. Issues such as fashion, love and politics, evolution and even school dinners are all addressed and involve Cam’s parents who guide him through these ideas and experiences with support and advice. It is a great way of encouraging discussions between children and their parents.

Suitable for all ages

For pre-school children it will be the geometry of the character design, bright colours and geometrical character design. For early primary school children, it is the catchphrases and visual jokes as well as relating to his investigation into the world. Finally, for parents, it will be finding the humour in the real life frustrations that make up the mayhem of raising a family!

The Creators

Neal and Nik are the creators of The Camberwell Cat (www.youtube.com/thecamberwellcat and have been trying to spread a bit of positivity during the lock down. They are both parents and, when this all started, they wanted to reach out to children who have impending birthdays to see if they could make their home-party a little bit special with a personalised animation for their big day.
