Creative Selfies
This weekend sees the start of The Photography Show. I haven’t shared with many people – until now – but I am proud to say that I made it through to the final 10 in the ‘60 Seconds to Change Your Life’ competition which is run in conjunction with the show. The prize was over £15,000 worth of products to help you start your own photography business.
The first challenge to get through to the next round was to take a creative selfie. On this post are a few which I came up with. I think I know where I went wrong with the one I sent through.
If I had got through I had needed to make sure I was free to go to the show on Monday and Tuesday for the semi-final, followed by the final. The semi-final takes place tomorrow at 8am, for which there is a challenge taking place in the exhibition hall. On Tuesday is the live final – a photo shoot in front of an audience. Good luck to the final six!
I now plan to go up tomorrow and am looking forward to catching up with the By Lumiere team and their competition partners to find out how I can improve – and may be try again next year.

Well done for making the final 10, what an achievement. I love the first one, and the third one is great too. I’m not so keen on the middle one though, it looks a bit creepy to me. All of them are incredibly imaginative though. x

For me the first one is the best….but would the judges have called that a selfie as it’s three selfies blended together? Anyway, love the colour in the final shot and it took me a few minutes, but I eventually figured out how you took that shot with the Lensball! Well done on getting so far, I love them all but the bridge one is my favourite, arguably the others are more creative.
They’re all good shots but that first one in particular is very cleverly done!
