Leaping Lizard!

A couple of weeks ago, when we were in Portland, Dorset, I was photographing the runners in the Hardway Half Marathon. As I was waiting on one of the tracks down near Portland Bill, I spotted this little chap run across the path in front of me. I really thought he was going to be far too quick for me but I bent down as he was basking in the sun on a rock and just managed to capture him as he started to run off!

If I’d attempted to take that I’m pretty sure it would be a blurry mess!

  2. Wowsers, when I saw a photo of a lizard I thought you must have been either on holiday or hanging about at a wildlife centre or something – not Portland BIll! Great shot, can’t believe you’ve captured it so perfectly!

  3. Excellent photo, Victoria! And perfect timing too. He could almost be in the middle of the desert rather than on Portland Bill!
