Girls Talk – A Wot So Funee Post #funee

Before I tell you all about the funee antics of our little cherub, I just had to let everyone in on something that happened on Sunday. Ross had kindly decided to look after Grace for most of the day as I was poorly. They took a walk to the shop and, on the way back, Ross asked Grace how you crossed the road. She explained to him that you look both ways and make sure it’s safe. A woman came up to him and said ‘I’ve seen you with your little girl before and, I just wanted to tell you that I think she is very well-behaved’ How proud are we?! 🙂

Here are some of her classic one-liners this week:

‘Mum, I have puppy fat to keep me warm. That doesn’t mean I am going to grow up to be a dog though!’

‘Did you know that everyone has a catchphrase? Mine is Bumblenuts!’

‘The dinosaurs they used in Jurassic Park are definitely remote control ones!’

‘If they play Maclemore on the radio then I will shout until my eyes fall out!’

Ross took Grace to school on Friday as I had just come down with the lurgie. When I picked her up I asked if she was OK as Ross as told me she was worried about me. ‘Mummy, I wasn’t worried I was frightened. Frightened is a different word to worried’ she said ‘Why were you were you frightened Grace?’ I asked. ‘Because’ she replied ‘I was worried’!

The other evening, putting Grace to bed, she told me that she knew the bad word which begins with ‘f’. ‘Do you now?’ I asked apprehensively, ‘Yes, its frickin’, and there is a worse one’ I braced myself ‘It’s frickin’ hell’!

Finally I was a little concerned with writing down the last comment, but here goes. On Sunday afternoon, Ross and Grace were playing a computer game with people fighting each other. ‘Uh oh!’ she said ‘Two black people fighting, that isn’t good!’

  1. Phew! Bet you breathed a sigh of relief there re the ‘F’ word. I thought my kids had written ‘sex’ on the car window this morning and was just about to tell them off, when son said he’d been trying to write ‘yes’ backwards and I realised that’s exactly what he had been doing. I was relieved!
    Beautiful photo BTW.

    1. I actually started to cry with laughter about the sex on the window comment! 🙂 x

    1. Very relieved I can tell you! Yes, I didn’t even realise she knew about puppy fat!! X

    1. Thanks Leyla – I know, I thought that was cute 🙂
