Take What You Need. A Poem
Take What You Need
Take what you can, what you need from me,
If that’s what will see you through
Take all the strength and love you need
We want you to make it, we do
Because, even though, I find it hard
You are what we’ve been waiting for
Because, even though, I feel over-wrought
We want 3 to at last become 4
My head is a muddle but my heart it is strong
Willing you to one day breathe air
My head it is a muddle but my feelings aren’t wrong
For you, we will always be there
So take what you need, what you want from me
Do it all to make sure you survive
Take what you need and I will bear it all
To one day see you, alive.

A really touching poem and I also think you’ve articulated the feelings of lots of mums to be. I can remember thinking ‘I’m here for you’ during pregnancy too. Sending lots of posivity your way xx #prose 4 thought
