Day 25 of National Poetry Writing Day and today’s poem is one which gets a few things off my chest that are personal to me and annoying me right now! 

No More Mrs Nice Guy

No more Mrs Nice Guy from me
Because where does it really get you?
I am finally putting my foot down
I’ll tell you what I’m going to do

No one ignores my daughter
Especially the ones who are close
When she achieves something hard
They should support her the most

The NHS doesn’t support us
In fact, it is really sexist
Support for a women is sometimes there
But for a man it doesn’t exist

Get rid of me when I’m vulnerable
How is that really fair?
I thought you had my interests at heart
But in fact, you really don’t care

But you know, I’ll tell you what
With the complaining, I am now through
Actions speak so much louder than words
From now on I will show you!
