Investing for Your Kids and Their Future

Year upon year prices rise, things become more expensive and investing for your kids future is a continuous – and rather tricky – balancing act.

I have already starting saving for Grace’s future. She received some vouchers from the Government when she was born, then another one when I was a single parent. As a result, I set up a Child’s Trust Fund and have been contributing to it every month. Now I need to start thinking about Rex and his financial future.

What you need to consider when investing for your kids and their future

Things like a first car, university fees, their wedding or a housing deposit are all things to consider for your children’s future. For the average person, it isn’t really feasible to save much when they have to consider their own cost of living. So, plan needs to be put in place – such as the dedicated savings plan that I have for Grace.

  1. The price ofinsurance for a first car is stupidly scary. I always founf saving was difficult when the chilldren were young and it was only the youngest who got a helping hand from me as the others were contributing to the household by then so made it easier to help him out.

    1. The insurance side does worry me too – thankfully I used to be a driving instructor so we will saving on the actual lessons! It isn’t easy planning for the future when you have the here and now to deal with too! x
