Girls Talk – a Wot So #Funee Post

This week Grace has been full of one-liners that have kept Ross and I both on our toes and, of course, laughing. So what I shall do is give you the scenario and then what was said by our little madam.
Ross decided to go and find his mallet in a bid to finally make her moshi monster poster STAY on the wall – Grace: ‘Mallet? Is that a grown-up word for hammer?’
After putting up the said poster, as usual Ross and Grace were joking around about how they were going to hurt each other badly. Ross told Grace that he would sit on her in her sleep. Grace: ‘If you do that to me, I will be dead when I wake up’!
Out in the snow on Saturday, we started to build a snowman (we all got absolutely frozen and decided to go in before completion!). Grace: ‘We definitely need to find arms for sticks’!
On Sunday, Grace and I decided to have egg and bacon for lunch. I cooked us both a fried egg and, knowing how Grace loves to break the yolk herself, I chose the one I broke the yolk for in the pan. I explained this to her. Grace: ‘Never mind Mummy, it’s just an egg, it’ll live’!
On Sunday evening during Grace and Ross’ sparring, Grace was taunting Ross. She called him a ‘Howard’ – of course, she meant ‘Coward’
Yesterday morning I told Grace that Ross told me on email that everything was ‘spiffy’. Grace: ‘How dumb is that? Why is everything ‘stiffy”!
Finally it was my turn for a funny last night – much to Ross and Grace’s amusement. We were working through our new Money Smarter book and I decided to discuss the ‘workshits’!! Complete slip of the tongue. Although I laughed even harder when on the ‘workshit’ Grace decided that to be a Policeman you needed to learn not be naughty otherwise you would be a criminal yourself!

Ooh Grace you are a legend! Ha, I love the Howard / coward mix up!!
I love that you think she is a legend – I wonder what she will make of that when I tell her?!
I love these. How funny about the egg! It makes me smile when they apply adult phrases to situations and they haven’t quite got it 🙂
I know – I love it when they try to be all grown up!
You tell Grace that my brother is a Howard, and he’s a very terrifying QC!
Thanks for linking up again 🙂
I will let her know! Always an absolute pleasure 😀
did the egg live?

Nope! I devoured it! 🙂 x
Your Grace sounds amazing – there is soooo much each week that makes me laugh loads. x
Thank you! mI think I am starting to realise what her vocation in life should/might be! x
Ha ha! I love the Howard comment especially! It always tickles me when Scamp comes out with funny stuff – mainly because I can see my influence in the way she talks shining through!
I think the Howard one and the egg one were my favourites this week!
Lots of funny moments there! I often get corrected for a slip of the tongue! x
At least I’m not the only one! 😉
It’s those little funnies that can make a day, laughing together and sharing is so important. In our house the kids say lots of funny things but mummy’s tongue tying creates much merriment too especially for daddy. This a post that makes you smile.
Thanks Sarah, I agree, laughter really makes for a happier house! 🙂 x
