Forward and Back
What lies ahead is a mystery
Whereas you know your history
The future, it is yours for the making
Whilst what has been, there is no faking
When writing the next part of your book
Reflect on the past, take a good look
In what is to come, you can raise the stakes
But you really must learn from your mistakes
As soon as you start your new project
Remember lessons learned have an affect
The future, it will be exciting and new
But the past, it will always stay with you
So always look forward to what is to come
A new day arrives with the rising sun
But take a look back and never forget
There is also beauty in any sunset
