Features of the Birth Announcement
*Remunerated Post*

The birth of a child is one of the most anticipated days in the life of many couples. Their happiness knows no bounds when a child is born. It is therefore understandable that they would like to share this happiness with their loved ones, and for this purpose, they usually make an announcement.
However, when deciding how to tell people, some face a dilemma. They may be confused about what to include in the announcement. On this post, I share in detail the important details that you may like to include in the announcement – as well as cover what you may want to avoid writing.
Table of Contents
Name of Baby and Parents
The primary objective of announcing the birth is that people get to know details of your new baby, therefore, adding the name is a must. The name of the child is best shown at the top or centre and written in a bigger font so that it is prominent. The parents can also add the nickname if they have decided on one. This will add a personalised touch to the baby announcement cards.
In addition to the name of the newborn, the name of the parents is also important. You don’t want people getting confused!
Gender of the Baby
Another important thing to include is the gender. There are two reasons for this. The first means you won’t have people asking if they are uncertain.
The second is that people may be sending gifts to congratulate the family. These gifts will include various accessories and clothes for the newborn. Whether it is a baby boy or baby girl announcement, it means then that they can buy appropriate gifts accordingly.
Picture of the Baby
Another thing that is a must in my opinion is a photo of the baby, whether it be alone or with the parents and family. Not only will it make the announcement look better but it means that everyone gets a chance to see what the new addition looks like. This is especially important if people are unable to visit.
What to Avoid
We have discussed in detail what to include, so what should you avoid? I feel that the announcement should be short and snappy. Maybe use a postcard or stand up card meaning that the person who receives the announcement can display it if they like. Also, you should avoid making it a lengthy one. Keep it short and interesting. Finally, don’t mention gifts – leave it up to the individual to decide on whether they would like to send something.
Conclusion
The birth announcement is a significant occasion. Therefore, the couple should carefully think over how to present it before sending the details out to your family and friends.
