The Conception Diaries #10 – Friday 27th November 2015

Welcome to the tenth episode in my series of vlogs, ‘The Conception Diaries’.

If you are now a regular follower of my blog and vlogs, then you will now that we have now been to Cyprus for our egg donation procedure, we are now back in the UK. More of that to come in later vlogs.

Thank you to those who continue to be so supportive by watching and commenting on my vlogs.

I recorded this episode back on Friday 27th November 2015 at around 11pm. I explain how angry and let down I feel by my body and speak about the difficulty in the run-up to Christmas approaching the end of another year without a baby to hold. I tell you who our chosen IVF clinic is for the egg donor transfer and explain my feelings on this as well as explain the minefield of choosing one. I also speak about the medication I need to start taking, my plans to exercise, how I saw 2015 as a transition year with 2016 a more fruitful, successful year.

Thank you for watching xx

  1. Vic I’ve been totally out of the loop on all this, I’m sorry. Clearly you’re much further on now, but although I have no experience of egg donation, I do know a bit about infertility and early miscarriage, as well as having gone through IVF. The aspirin is to prevent clotting, which prevents an embryo forming an attachment, hence the early miscarriage risk being higher. They didn’t recommend aspirin for me though, and instead I took a daily injection of heparin from the moment of implantation to week 36 of pregnancy. It worked with both of my children. I wish you every success with the process you’re going through x

    1. Thank you so much Helen for your really supportive comment. I didn’t realise you had been through so much xx
