A Review of Christmas Tree World and their Ultra Mountain Pine

I am a bit of a fantasist. I still believe in Father Christmas and I still believe that items – as well as people – have feelings and hold memories. When Grace was nearly 3, we bought our first Christmas Tree. It was from eBay. It was big and bushy and stood 6ft tall. It wasn’t expensive but it was ours and we loved it. I often wonder what that old tree has stored in it’s memory banks of the moments it has seen and the wonder it has shared with us.

Fast forward 11 years. We are all about to have our first Christmas together in our home in Somerset. The nostalgia our old tree holds is about to be stored away forever as we make way for a new tree and a host of brand new memories as a family of 4.

Christmas Tree World

Christmas Tree World recently stepped up and offered us a brand new tree for this very reason. I have tried so hard to make our first Christmas together in our own home as a family of 4 a very special one and this tree just adds to the magic.

Christmas Tree World have been trading now for 30 years and are regularly striving to improve their customer service, ensuring that their delivery is quick and their products are quality.

They offer a whole host of trees in a range of sizes, shapes, colours and prices to make it easy for their customers to find the best artificial Christmas tree to suit their home.

The 6ft Pre-lit Frosted Ultra Mountain Pine Artificial Tree

Ross and I looked through all of the trees on the Christmas Tree World website and we both agreed on this model. We also received a fantastic storage bag (no more damp, broken cardboard box in the shed!).

All of the Christmas trees look so realistic and so it wasn’t an easy choice but there were a number of things we loved about the Ultra Mountain Pine.

Firstly, it is easy to assemble and has attached, hinged branches. It comes in three sections plus the base and you can clearly see which fits where. The base folds out and is connected with 3 pins which also hold the tree up.

One of the biggest deals about this particular model, is that it is pre-lit. Not only does this save you time and effort, there are no extra wires here there and everywhere – which, having a very young child AND a pet in the house, is something hugely valuable. The lights are also extremely easy to assemble. There are 3 connectors, one on each branch section, for the built-in lights to plug into the matching sections that join to a normal 3 point pin plug which goes into the wall socket. And it is as simple as that! I also have to add that because the lights are already strung, they are perfectly even and means you end up with a showroom quality tree and lighting display within seconds of it being up.

There are a total of 1972 branch tips and 500 professionally hand strung warm white LED lights which glow out from the branches once they are plugged in.

To ensure that it is suitable for any room size, the tree is just 120cm diameter at it’s widest point. To help it look realistic, the colour has been carefully chosen and, we are extremely happy with the light frosted snow effect all over the tree.

Our Thoughts

Firstly, take a look at this video to see how easy it is to put this tree together.

I have to say that, even a few days after putting it up, Ross and I are still marvelling on how easy it is to put together. Our previous tree would take a good hour to assemble – and that is without putting the (very long strand of) lights on!

To go from an hour to a matter of minutes is a huge time-saving benefit – and a preventative of family arguments! Which, lets face it, none of us want at any time of the year but especially Christmas.

I can see this beautiful Christmas Tree being a part of our family for a very long time to come.
