Have I mentioned how much I love photography?! I think My-Picture.co.uk quickly realised how much I talk about it and they kindly offered me some items for review.

The reason I agreed to work with them is because they offer a variety of different products which I haven’t seen with any other photo development company.

Acrylic Photograph Prints

There really is something about a photograph printed onto acrylic. It really makes any photo look like a true work of art. I carefully chose an image of a Great Blue Butterfly which I took at Somerset Lavender last August.

The colours match our bathroom perfectly and, with the fact that Rex loves butterflies thanks to ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, it is the perfect choice! 

The picture is presented behind a crystal-clear sheet of polished glass and is produced using My-Picture.co.uk’s state-of-the-art printing techniques. The panel also comes with easy-to-stick-on hangers and wall protectors.

Aluminium Photograph Prints

In a similar way to acrylic prints, I really feel that Aluminium prints give a high quality finish to any photograph. It puts a shine on them which I love.

For this one, I chose a photo which means a lot to me. It is of Alicante harbour at sunset which I took when we went to Spain for our IVF treatment to get Rex. It fits perfectly in our kitchen and I love it! 

Again, it comes with wall hangers. It is printed on laboratory-quality photo paper and then laminated to protect it from UV light. It is also extremely lightweight.

Printed Mugs

Printed mugs are available everywhere these days but I wanted to see the quality of the ones from My-Picture.co.uk – and they didn’t disappoint.

With Grace shortly performing in her school play, I thought I would opt for printing the image I did of her as Alice in Wonderland for World Book Day – and the part she is playing. I am going to present this to her after her show finishes. 

Printed Towels

Now this one was really unusual for me – and I thought it was a great idea! What better way to find your towel on the beach than with your very own photo on it. 

I chose a beach photo I took a couple of years ago. Again, this was one for Alicante. Not only am I pleased with how the image turned out, I also love the quality of the towel.

Printed Mats

Finally, another great idea which I wanted to test out from My-Picture.co.uk.

I have an office in the upstairs spare room. It has hard wood floors so a mat for my feet – especially in the winter – is very welcome. For this one, I chose another of the butterfly images from last year’s lavender farm photos. I am really pleased and have a feeling I shall be using this a lot.
