NaPoWriMo Day 9 – Maggie’s Thoughts
Day 9 of NaPoWriMo and I couldn’t mark it without a poem about Margaret Thatcher’s passing. I tried to be as neutral as I could!
Maggie’s Thoughts
How will I be remembered?
With hatred or with fear?
Will the people mourn for me?
Or will they laugh and cheer?
I did the best I could you know
With what was passed to me
A woman just doing her job
I loved a cup of tea
Lying in my bed
Nearing end of days
Wondering what I leave behind
What will the people say?
A legacy or bitter taste
No matter how you feel
History has been written
All done, signed and sealed
