Earth Day – Day 22 of National Poetry Writing Month #NaPoWriMo
Day 22 of National Poetry Writing Month and today’s prompt from the NaPoWriMo is to write a poem about Earth Day – so that is just what I have done!
Earth Day
Nature always finds a way
To help flora and fauna thrive
All it takes is a drop of rain
To make you feel alive
Let’s celebrate our planet
All it does for you and I
The green and pleasant land
The stars up in the sky
The smallest Vatican City
To Russia, being the largest
All the countries in the world
And everything they harvest
From the tiniest bacteria
To the humungous big blue whale
The beaches that we visit
The mountains that we scale
The air that we all breathe
The snow beneath our feet
The country that we live in
Every house on every street
May we all be grateful
In each and every way
For the beauty of this globe
On this, our own Earth Day

Really well put Vicky. The earth is an incredible place! Funny, I was looking at a map with our daughter this week and I always lost in maps, wondering at the big wide world we live in! Thanks for hosting #prose4t
