Celebrate in Style on New Years Eve with House of Fraser
One of the things I really love to do this time of the year is to get dressed up. Probably more so on New Years Eve as usually there is more of an excuse to party and Christmas Eve is normally going out for a nice meal – but any excuse I say!
Of course, it is also a good excuse for a new outfit, so when House of Fraser asked me to take a look through some of their dresses I was a little concerned that I might spend a small fortune. I needn’t have been though as there are some real bargains to be had. Below I list my top five which are all below £40!

Jolie Moi Butterfly Print Fit & Flare Dress
This is one that I have chosen for myself and, in fact, I wore it out on Christmas Eve when we went for a meal with Ross’ family. It is extremely comfortable, very flattering and is the type of dress that is versatile enough to wear out for a number of different occasions including parties and dinners.

I have to say that I love Quiz dresses and wore one to the MAD Blog awards back in 2014. This one looks just as classy and comfortable and would be great to wear to any black tie event.

I love this style of dress as I think it is really flattering. This particular one looks really colourful and would definitely suit a cocktail party or to wear to go out to dinner.

Quiz Royal Blue Crochet V Neck Dress
Another dress from Quiz, this time it is more of a prom style. The crocheted lace outer is pleated at the waist with the mesh layered underskirt to give it a fuller look – and really accentuate your waist. Again, great for parties or going out dancing.

I really like the different elements to this dress. Not only does it look classy and elegant but, again, comfortable to wear – something I really appreciate if I am going out partying.
