4 Types of Wedding Attire and Where to Find Them

As the longer days approach and the weather starts to improve, we can all start looking forward to the main part of the wedding season. We are attending a wedding at the end of May, where Ross is an Usher and Grace is the Flower Girl. Of course, it will also be Rex’s very first wedding and I am looking forward to finding him a great outfit.

With that in mind, I am listing 5 different types of wedding attire and some of the places to shop for them. Of course, there are weddings out of season too so I like to try and find something that will not only be great for the summer months, but something I can wear all year round if possible.

Dresses

I find as I go into my later 40s I have to be much more considerate about what I am wearing! One of my absolute favourite places to shop is Joe Browns. I love their sense of style and their long tunics and dresses feel timeless and fashionable for any age. I think I may have found a dress which will give me more than just one use. I will be looking at other places such as Very which is a great place to find a number of different retailers and styles as well as ASOS.com

Shoes and Boots

This one has become more important as I have gotten older. I still love anything fashionable but I also want to make sure that I am comfortable – especially at a wedding where you are on your feet for much of the day and still want to be able to dance in the evening.

For this, I turn to Hotter shoes. They are stylish as well as fashionable and I have a few pairs from them which are my go-to shoes for every occasion. Boots are always stylish and the Uppersole Ladies knee high boots range all look great with the right dress at any time of the year.

Children’s Clothes

Grace already has her dress for the end of May and it is on it’s way from Monsoon. With Rex attending his very first wedding in May, I am on the lookout for a lovely suit for an 11 month old.  I have been searching through and found a number of things which looking great. I shall certainly be considering the range from Monsoon, along with what House of Fraser Children, Marks and Spencer and Next have to offer too.

Hats

Possibly my favourite part of dressing up for weddings is the hat. I find it a great excuse for adding an extra accessory to an already stylish outfit. I have had a number of hats in my time. My favourite one – no longer in existence, sadly – served me well for two weddings and two trips to Ascot! Now, I am on the look out for my next great hat so I shall be hoping that Debenhams will come up trumps again with all that they have to offer, at a great price too.
