The Installation of our Water Softener. A Post in Conjunction with EWT Water Specialists

benefitsI have previously given you details of what differences having a water softener will make to our home as well as a video of our various fittings and appliances giving you the ‘before’ scenario with regards to limescale. Today, I am going to show you just what EWT came to do in order to install the softener.

EWT arrived around an hour and a half early to fit our new Gold Series 606 water softening system. They were unintruisve and quick. Chris, our fitter, was also easily able to locate our stopcock and cut out the cupboards neatly in order to connect the unit professionally. I took some before and after images as well as a video of the unit after installation. I did find a very slow leak after installation, which was the result of a washer that wasn’t tightened enough. EWT fixed this quickly and without any fuss.

Take a look at our video of the installation process.

minisoftenerTo follow soon will be a post about how our skin is fairing since the installation and a short video which will update you on the limescale in our home.

The kind people at EWT Water have agreed to let my readers have a free water test kit to see if you would benefit from a water softener in your home. Simply follow this link and fill in the very easy form.

Hard water leaves scaly deposits in plumbing fixtures and pipes. As these deposits build up over time, they cause clogs and corrosion that can shorten the life of your home’s plumbing system. By reducing mineral deposits, water softening systems minimize buildup and reduce the risks of clogs and corrosion, extending the life of the plumbing system and helping fixtures operate more effectively.
