A Review of the GTech Multi Cordless Handheld Vacuum

A Review of the GTech Multi Cordless Handheld Vacuum

One of the biggest banes of my life is vacuuming the stairs. It is a complete and utter pain! Not only for the fact that my existing cleaner is massively heavy – it has even fallen down the stairs, knocked a chunk out of the wall plaster and then hit me – it is a ruddy nuisance plugging it in up stairs and then down.  I need fear no longer! Not since I received the wonder machine that is the GTech Multi.

This nifty gadget has been thoughtfully constructed. Not only is it lightweight, easy to use and has loads of different attachments but it is cordless. Yep, that’s right! I don’t have to worry about plugging it in when I am using it.

Gtech Multi 1

It is a complete innovation in cleaning. It has all the attachments you would expect to find on an upright vacuum and great cleaning performance to boot. It has a really powerful motor and you can use it easily for edges, stairs, upholstery and the car interior; it even works on pet hair – which is necessary in our house!

The Multi comes with a 36cm (14-inch) extension tube as well as concealed flexible hose. The means that I can clean the ceiling and all of it’s corners without the danger of having to stand on a chair! Or use a duster. There is also a crevice tool, dusting brush and flexible hose which are all conveniently stowed away inside the Multi itself. The 18cm (7-inch) wide upholstery tool helps with stairs, sofas and the car – no more visits to the garage to use their vacuum!

To operate it you simply pull the trigger and the built-in light helps to illuminate and target the cleaning area.

The Multi’s power comes from a professional-grade 22V Lithium-ion battery. One 4-hour charge delivers up to 30 minutes cord free cleaning (although, from experience, I would say that it delivers more than this!); 1-hour charge will deliver a burst of additional run-time. A 4-stage LED display indicates how much charge is left in the battery.

A full review, together with my thoughts and how the Multi works are in my video below:

Since receiving this GTech Multi, I have realised that there is no going back now. It has changed the way I clean. I find that I am much more efficient, it is much less time-consuming and easy to use. I love it and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

You can find more information about the GTech range over on their website. They are also on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google +

Disclosure: I was sent the GTech Multi Cordless Handheld Vacuum in return for this review, however, all words, images and opinions are my own and have not been influenced in any way.

That’s good that this site involves women! The tv advert for the product is so blatantly sexist involving 2 MEN as tho to say a) even a dopey man can use this gadget and b) so as not to use ‘stereotypes’! It could be ‘balanced’ with one man and one woman but no, let’s be very PC and not suggest that this is ‘women’s work’. Heaven forbid.
PS – I do all the ‘hoovering’ in our house so I’m not being chauvinist!

A real let down. Love my Gtech vacuum but the Multi doesn’t have much power and I am going to return it.

This actually looks really good – my house has a bizarre lack of sockets and cleaning the stairs is a total nightmare!!

I don’t think I’ve picked up our vacuum cleaner since baby came along. Ooooopsy. Luckily hubby’s quite good at getting around to it. He’s a gadget freak – this would be up his alley. Thanks for hosting #PoCoLo. I’ve just discovered it, looking forward to discovering new bloggers & interesting posts 🙂

OMG I need one of these. We have a tiny little VAX Gator which is fine if it’s fully charged but rarely is when you need it to be and is useless otherwise. I broke a glass lamp all over my bedroom yesterday and could have done with this xxx

I really want one of these. I’m really unstable on stairs, it’s getting worse, so now I have to rely on my mister to do it. Something like this means I could do it myself! Xx

I’m loving the fact this also holds its attachments. They’re the bane of my life in normal vacuums. I do like the idea of these, but I’ve never found a cordless one that would hold its charge, so if this one’s longer than it states that’s great. #pocolo

We have the GTech air ram cordless vacuum and it is amazing, can’t recommend it enough!
Have had my eye on the Multi for ages (and ages), hints have been made to “Santa” but I think he’ll be bringing something feminine instead!
