Welcome to this week’s Prose for Thought. It is great to be back! I have to say that a break is definitely what was needed. I have found myself feeling completely revived and ready to take on the world!
Over half term, we went on a press trip to Northern Ireland and I have to say that I found it’s beauty so inspiring. I had a great chance to take lots of photographs and listen to some beautiful folk tales – the ones that particularly spring to mind are the ones told to us by our tour guide, Mark, of Dalriada Kingdom Tours. He works closely with Frances at Glenara Elite tours and there will be a post about this over on Victoria Visits very soon. One of my favourites was about the giants, Benandonner and Finn McColl. Ross and I were captivated by it as we walked back up to our tour bus after a sunset over the Giants Causeway. My poem this week is a tribute to some of what we heard and saw.
If you would like your poem included in the next BritMums Poetry and Prose round-up then I will be compiling the next one which goes live on Wednesday 6th July. If you would like to be included then please tweet me (@vicwelton) or Maddy (@writingbubble) using the hashtag #BritMumsPoetry.
If you have written a piece of original poetry, prose or fiction and would like to share it, then please link up below. The link is open until 9.30pm the following Monday. I will try my utmost to read every single linker. I would also love it if you share your poem and use the #Prose4T hashtag. If you include me in your tweet – @vicwelton – I will ensure that I retweet you. Please also use my badge below if you are linking up – it helps to publicise the linky to others.
