A Goodheart Gifts Review

So far I don’t believe I have handed my blog over to anyone else to control…that is until now. With a review of one his birthday presents from Goodheart Gifts, I give you my wonderful man, Ross Owen Williams.

Amidst mouthfuls of my gratefully received birthday breakfast in bed, my eager hands dug into a pile of presents. Amongst them, I found a small black box containing something very shiny indeed. A small silver cigar shaped object with my name on the side… a silver doughnut looking thing… curious. These warranted further investigation!

The cigar turned out to be a ballpoint pen and the doughnut thing was much heavier than you might initially expect. The connection came quickly – bringing the two together was easier done than said as the pen virtually found its own way into the centre of the base thanks to the magnet therein. A magnetised, engraved, pen and holder – marvellous!

This has to be one of my favourite presents this year. Firstly, it is great for space-economy. The base unit is no wider than a bottle of pills but sturdy and stable. The pen is also smaller than your standard writing implement but still long enough to offer a firm grip and smooth, flowing writing (even in my typical scrawl!).

It offers more convenience than I first thought too – given that it is sticking up in the air, reaching out to pick it up is easier than fiddling with a scrawny biro and putting it back doesn’t require precision. Get the pen near enough the base unit and let go – gravity and magnetism does the rest! On the purely aesthetic side, it looks fantastic – a classy addition to any desktop. I keep precious little on my desk but this takes pride of place right next to my computer monitor.

An absolute thumbs up on this product from Goodheart Gifts, something I would totally recommend as a birthday, Christmas or wedding present – even for unique christening gifts – whatever the occasion, a practical and beautiful product like this is timeless.

  1. I’m always on the look out for good pressies and this one sounds lovely. You don’t say how much it is but I’m going to potter over and take a look when I have a mo – after all perhaps I deserve a present myself for getting through the Summer with two under 5 relatively unscathed eh? 🙂
