My Top 5 Bucket List Holidays

I have always loved to travel. It was one of the reasons I started my travel blog – which seems to have fallen into neglect since I had Rex! I am still posting over there occasionally and will pick it up when Rex is a bit bigger. With that in mind, I thought I would share with you my top 5 bucket list holidays which I am determined to get to one day!

New York, USA

New York is somewhere that I have seen in many films over the years (cue the song ‘New York, New York’ from On The Town!) and I have longed to see a Broadway show, pay a visit to Times Square and wander around Tiffanys. I am also determined to get – and find – the best way to see Central Park. Guided tours are probably the best way for this and Central Park Pedicab Tours looks like a great option. Wellington, New Zealand

Ross, Grace and I have made it a sort of tradition that, in the run up to Christmas, we watch all of the Lord of the Rings films. As a result, I have always wanted to do a tour of New Zealand and visit it’s capital city, Wellington. There is a fantastic package from Red Carpet Tours which means you not only get to see the film locations but also meet people involved in the making of the films. I think I need to start saving!

Tokyo, Japan

Now, I know that New York is supposed to be ‘the city that never sleeps’ but Tokyo looks like it fits this description more to me! I believe that it would be a very colourful place to capture some great street photography as well as a trip out to Mount Fuji for some nature shots too.

The Maldives

With all the hustle and bustle of the other places on my bucket list, I would need a place to relax too (although my itchy feet may just cause me a little bit of hassle). I think that there would be nowhere better to rest up than the Maldives. A place which has been on my list for longer than I can remember.

A couple of lucky bloggers I know have already been there. Jess from Catch a Single Thought and Emma from Ready Freddie Go have both shared their experiences.

The beauty from the photos I have seen has always impressed me and I think it would give Ross and I some much needed downtime.

Hollywood, USA

Of course, the movie lover in me cannot leave off the most iconic place in the world. Hollywood tours would have to include the walk of fame, the movie stars houses, TCL Chinese Theatre and the many studios situated there. Starline Tours have been in existence for over 80 years and seem to be top of the recommended companies to go for so they are definitely an option for me.
