It’s the first!
I haven’t done a general round-up or, as some may call them, rambling on my blog. But as it is the first of December (and I am feeling decidedly Christmassy this year!) and it’s my first Christmas with my blog, I thought I would let you know about a couple of things.
Firstly the lovely Otilia Stocks, aka Romanian Mum, has given me the opportunity to write a guest post for her blog which she has published today. Expecting her second baby any day now and already a Mum to one little girl, she is sharing other people’s experience’s of their labour. When I wrote it, it brought all the memories – mostly good and a few bad – flooding back. My post is here.. Thank you for this opportunity Otilia, and all the best to you (I know she is in hospital today so wishing I’m thinking of you).
I would also like to say a big hi to anyone coming across from Love All Blogs. I am really pleased to be one of their sponsors this month and hope to generate some new subscribers via them. This is a great site which, amongst other things, shares posts from all types of blogs anywhere in the world. They used to host Silent Sunday which has now gone back to the originator of this linky, Mocha Beanie Mummy. Love All Blogs have now started a social media picture linky called #SocialPix, details are here. I intend to join in with both.
Also, as it’s now officially countdown to Christmas, I have changed my header banners. The words all come from three of my favourite Christmas things. A Christmas song by Greg Lake, the film ‘Muppet Christmas Carol’ and my favourite old time movie star, Judy Garland. The song Judy sings is from the film ‘Meet Me in St Louis’ – one of my absolute favourites. I didn’t find out until years after it becoming one of my favourites that it was the film my Grandad took my Grandma to when he returned from World War II.
I’ve got lots of things to share with my readers this month. The first thing is two meme posts which I am behind on – particularly the one from poor old Wendy on http://glitzygleam.blogspot.co.uk – who has been waiting for me for at least three weeks!. The other one is from a lady who has become a regular friend of mine, Jaime Oliver, over on The Oliver’s Madhouse. I shall be combining both memes!
There is my continuing journey on the Dukan Diet. My latest on this can be found here. At weigh-in this morning I found I had lost another 1lb so I am now down to 159lbs! Just 14lb to go. As I am a Driving Instructor, I post every week about road safety and road users with help and advice. My last post was about Parallel Parking. I follow the Wot So Funee? Linky on Actually Mummy’s blog every Tuesday and am also taking part in the Tots 100 Challenges to win a holiday to Center Parcs and our latest entry is here. In amongst all these I will be carrying out reviews and giveaways.
I would like to congratulate the winner of my lastest giveaway, Erica Price, who blogs over on http://alittleluxuryfor.me/ and http://thegreenfamilia.co.uk/ and runs http://92three30.com/
Finally, I am looking forward to sharing my second Christmas with my lovely man, Ross, Grace and Ross’ family – and I look forward to sharing it with you.
