I’m Going to #BML16

Events over the year is one of the ways in which I realise that time moves so fast – and, once again, the next BritMums Live conference – more commonly known now as #BML16 is almost upon us. My fourth time at BritMums also marks the fourth anniversary of us moving to Somerset so it is easy to remember the dates!

How I look: 5ft 9in, blonde (I can’t claim to be completely natural as there is probably some grey under there!), blue eyes and looking smartish.
Is this my first blogging event? Nope! As discussed above, this is my fourth BritMums Live plus I have attended a number of BlogCamps with Tots100 as well as a number of other, smaller blog meet ups.
I will be wearing… every year I like to treat myself to a brand new dress and this year was no exception. It is tricky because you want to wear something comfortable during the day but not have to rush off to your hotel room to change ready for the BiBs party in the evening so I think I have found the perfect dress. When Quiz approached me and asked me to take a look through their SS16 collection and choose something, I was really rather chuffed. I often take a look at the Quiz website, especially when I have a special occasion to attend and I was pleased to see exactly what I was looking for. I shall be wearing their White Satin Flower Print Dress which is a gorgeous shade of pink and blue.

As well as that, I shall be carrying a conference bag courtesy of my sponsors Message in a Bottle Book. The colour really matches my dress. Message in a Bottle currently have a campaign running over on Kickstarter and you can see their progress in my sidebar over on my homepage.

What I hope to gain from #BML16: Inspiration, knowledge and catching up with blogging friends and brands. This is the first time that they will be running the conference for one day and having a fringe party the night before – which I am really looking forward to attending along with Steph and Kirsty who will be my lovely companions for the evening.
My tips for a great conference: Plan what you want to do before you go but prepare to be flexible! You might find when you get there that you want to change your mind – and that is OK. Wear flat shoes (I am sure that the dad bloggers don’t really need this tip! 😉 ) – there is a lot of walking from room to room and believe me, you will suffer otherwise!
