My Quest for Health and Fitness – the second week.
So, how am I getting on in my quest for health and fitness after two full weeks of using Diet Chef and my Fitbug Orb? Well, great thanks actually!!
I knew that the second week wouldn’t see a massive weight loss like last week – it just wasn’t going to happen but I’ll come to that a bit later. What I have been really pleased with is the food on Diet Chef. It doesn’t make me feel hungry and I always look forward to my meals. The only downer that I have experienced so far is the Past Carbonara last night. It was horrid. Ross told me he was rather envious but I when I tasted it, I told him he needn’t be!

The only time I did stray from my diet was on Saturday BUT I made sensible choices. So, when I met Ross in town and we went for a coffee, I had a skinny decaf latte with a cheese scone and butter – which was my lunch. In the evening we walked to the pub to play a round of darts and I had a double gin and slimline tonic with a bag of Guiness flavoured peanuts and cashews (they were lovely!). I also had my usual diet chef meal and 50g of dark chocolate with cranberries.
I have been really pleased with myself about the targets that the Fitbug Orb has set me. The only day I didn’t meet it was yesterday when Ross and I – despite doing all the housework together – decided to have a relaxing day. I did make sure that I consumed less calories though!
You may recall that the Fitbug set me a target of 10,600 steps a day. This is how I did:
I have to say that I am rather pleased with this!
The Fitbug Orb target for me this week is:
11,100 steps per day
I’m going to strive to meet that! I’ve found myself leaving the car behind wherever I can. Town really isn’t that far and the walk is rather lovely.
The big question is how much weight have I lost? Well, it’s
A loss of 1.4lbs
For a more comprehensive view, this means as follows:
- Weight on 3rd March 2014: 179.0lbs
- Weight on 17th March 2014: 173.4lbs
- Goal = A loss of 10lbs in 4 weeks
- 4.4lbs to go to hit the target
I’ll be back next week to share more results with you!
Don’t forget, if you would like to win a Fitbug Orb then I have a competition running until 10am on 31st March 2014. You can go across to the competition here.
With thanks to the wonderful people at Diet Chef and Fitbug Orb for providing me with this opportunity.
I am so excited to have made this years finals of the MAD Blog Awards in ‘Most Innovative’ once again and would love the chance to win my category this year. If you would like to support me then please go to http://www.the-mads.com/vote/ and choose ‘Vevivos’ in the drop down menu. Also, if you would be kind enough to vote for me in the BiBs, my chosen categories are on my side bar to the right. Just click on those to take you across. Thank you so much 🙂 x

Well done on your step totals and the loss. I had put off trying the pasta carbonara because it didn’t look (or feel) fab in the packet. Lashings of black pepper needed!
Thanks for linking up 🙂 #wobbleswednesday
You’re doing great, keep it up!
Thank you 🙂 I’m running out of steam a bit this weekend! x
Well done on your loss, but more so on those steps! Amazing lady xx
Thank you very much 🙂 I have had one ‘off’ day this week so need to make amends!! x
You’re doing so well I’m super envious of your walking totals too. I’m trying to increase my walking but am doing a really bad job of it!
Thanks Alice – it isn’t easy! I didn’t meet the target yesterday! :S
You’re doing so well! Can’t believe you are so close to your goal already 🙂
Thank you so much Sarah – really pleased with how it is going 🙂 x
Keep going – you’re doing so well and it sounds like it won’t be long before you hit your target. I love that you’re being so honest with your review too!
