This Friday it will be 6 years since Ross and I started our relationship. We have been through so much, as have many other couples, but whilst the horrible times shook our foundations, we managed to find a way through every single time. Ross has proven himself to be an amazing dad to Grace and now, his dream of a biological child is coming true. Every night he says goodnight to the baby I am carrying, he is reading books about becoming a dad (not that I think he needs to) and he is taking great care of me – including putting up with my incessant snoring. Ross, this one is for you. 

6 Years Have Passed

6 years have passed in the blink of an eye
Yet I feel like I’ve known you my whole life
Nearly a whole year since we got engaged
I look forward to becoming your wife

We are both full of drama in more ways than one
We’ve been through so much together
Lesser things have broken so many others
Instead, its strengthened our tether

You’ve proven yourself an amazing dad
She looks up to and wants to please you
She gets close to you if she’s scared, happy or sad
You’re a wonderful example to her too

It won’t be long until your dream comes true
A biological dad at last
I’ll never forget your tears of joy when you heard
That sadness will be in the past

So Ross, we have had our ups and downs
But your love and loyalty remains true
A family of four will come round soon
And I’m so happy to share it with you
