Alicante: The Old and the New

If you follow me on social media then you will be aware that Ross and I are currently in Alicante undergoing our egg donation treatment with IVF Spain. There seems to be an awful lot of waiting around during this process and, thankfully, our hotel is in the city and only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the shopping centre, beach, harbour and Santa Bárbara Castle – which sits high above Alicante and is right next door to where we are staying. On Thursday evening we took a trip to the top of the castle where I was hoping to capture a picture of the sunset. Instead it was rather cloudy but I was very pleased with this photo. To me, it depicts the old and the new of the city, with a rather dramatic sky to boot!

If you are on Instagram, then don’t forget that my Instagram linky, InstaLinkLove, is open until Sunday evening at 9.30pm (probably one of the easiest linkys out there!).
