4 Great Products from Splash About
*Gifted Products Review*
An outdoor pool is the perfect place to cool off, although with the British Summer Time, you can never quite tell where you will be weatherwise. The grownups have it all sewn up with wetsuits, but you also need to ensure that your little one has the right swimming apparel for the occasion. Step up Splash About!
I love all the Splash About products and Rex has been sporting their swimwear for a while now. He always looks the part and has received a number of lovely compliments.
Here are 5 of the Splash About items which we have received and I would totally recommend.
Table of Contents
Float Wings

When I saw these in my inbox, I knew I needed some for Rex! I just love the idea and the design. I chose the Castle arms with Dragons on the chest support. There is also a Unicorn and Rainbow design.
Splash About has combined traditional armbands with the chest support of its multi-award winning FloatSuits to create Float Wings. These brand-new puncture-proof foam Float Wings are specifically designed as a safe way for your child to have fun whilst gaining confidence in water – and they are far easier than having to blow the ruddy things up!
The foam floats in the arms and across the chest are non-removable and unlike traditional armbands, cannot be punctured. The Float Wings provide UPF50 sun protection to vulnerable shoulders as a Nylon Lycra vest secures the wings in place. To wear, simply pull on the arms, slip the vest over your child’s head and fasten with the rear 3-point adjustable locking buckle.
Splash About’s Float Wings conform to CE European Standards and are available in one size, suitable for children aged 2-6 years. The soft weave of the Nylon Lycra fabric adds extra comfort for sensitive skin and causes less chaffing, but the durable foam floats will last wear after wear. Ideal for the pool at home or on holiday. They have also included the matching swimming board shorts to complete the look!
Toddler UV Sun Suit

This is definitely a must for the beach or in the garden at home over the summer holidays. It has three-quarter sleeves and legs along with a high neck and provides a UPF50+ sun protection for your little one both in and out of the water.
This sun suit is comfortable and stretchy, and the practical zipper back means it’s easy to put on and take off. The fabric is designed to keep perspiration to a minimum and your toddler cool in the sun, but it also protects against wind and sand on the beach. The form fitting design means it doesn’t create drag in the water so it’s great for swimming lessons too!

This lightweight suit takes up minimal space in a holiday suitcase and the nylon elastane fabric means it dries quickly too – a bonus anywhere!
Happy Nappy

I have used the Happy Nappy wetsuit for Rex previously and, with the fact that he was outgrowing that one, it was perfect timing to receive one of their new designs ready for our Tommy’s Splashathon with Water Babies.
Aptly, it has a Dino Pirate design and the Splash About Happy Nappy is the most reliable, reusable baby swim nappy on the market today.
Fully tested and approved by UK swim schools and recommended by British Standards guidelines for baby swimming, it offers maximum protection against unwelcome leaks due to its ergonomic design.
Ideal for a trip to the pool or to take on holiday; a Happy Nappy provides UPF50+ sun protection and when you’re finished in the sun, after care is simple – and a bonus on holiday – with quick-drying neoprene, just rinse, roll in a towel and reuse!
Baby Wrap

With a matching Dino Pirate design, the BabyWrap is a mini wetsuit which literally wraps around baby, maintaining their core warmth but keeping arms and legs free to move in the water. This multi-award winning wetsuit is the only one on the market to open flat, making it much easier to dress a wriggling baby. The Velcro fastenings mean it’s easy to adjust the fit and this wetsuit will grow with your baby.
The BabyWrap is made from 2mm thick premium neoprene so it’s not only warming it provides UPF50+ sun protection too. The texture of the BabyWrap also means it’s easier to hold baby in the water offering an added sense of security for new parents taking their child swimming for the first time.
