Hotter and a Tale of Two Boots

Hotter and a Tale of Two Boots

Back in October half term (which feels like a long time ago now!), I was sent a gorgeous scarf from Hotter together with brand new pair of Moonstone boots.

I hadn’t worn them as I wanted to try them out on our trip to London. I had so much faith in Hotter that I decided not to take any other footwear with me. We were staying in a hotel for one night and I knew that Grace, Emily and I would have to carry out luggage around London the following day so it was important to pack light.

After catching the tube from Kew Gardens to Bank and walking to our hotel, the balls of my feet were starting to become a bit painful. I took no notice really but by the time we were about to start walking around the Shrek Experience (after walking a very long way to get there) my feet were in agony. And I still had a lot of walking to do the next day.

The following morning I woke up with blisters on my feet. The two girls were very understanding and knew that I could not rush and we made sure we got to our events in plenty of time. I arrived back at my mums that evening and she loaned me a pair of boots as, thankfully, we are the same size.

When I returned home, I explained what had happened to the wonderful ladies at Hotter. They were very supportive. They asked me to return the boots so that they could inspect them and asked me to choose another pair from the range. I decided upon the Adalyn Boots in Winter Taupe and things couldn’t be more different!

I chose to wear them to Blogfest 15 for the first time. A little sceptical but still, I wanted my comfort concept experience with Hotter to be put to the test properly – and I find London the best place for this. They were perfect for the job!

They fit so comfortably that now, I seem to wear them everywhere. I have never had a pair of boots that fit nicely over my jeans too – and they do that. It really is one extreme to the other in this case. They are a great colour and seem to go well with the majority of my wardrobe and I am quite happily going to wear them this weekend on my long walk around Wookey Hole with the Brownies.

Thank you so much to Hotter for resolving the outcome!

Thank you to Hotter for sending me the boots and rectifying the issues. All opinions, words and images are my own and have not been influenced in any way.

Very nice boots and excellent service. I love Boots but hardly wear any because I can never find one that quite fits me. I will not give up on my quest for comfy good looking boots!

I think you can tell the quality of a company by how they resolve issues. I’ve recently got some hotter boots and their first outing was a walk around London too, thankfully mine were ok – in fact I’d go as far to say they were very comfortable! Result I say πŸ™‚ Thanks for hosting #pocolo x

They both look lovely! Great that they took the effort to resolve the issues with first pair. I think sometimes it just depends on individual feet and posture which shoes work – there seems little rhyme or reason sometimes on which shoes of mine are comfortable for hours, and which are not. #PoCoLo

I’m happy to hear that Hotter resolved your issues with your first pair of boots. My mum is a huge fan of their shoes and boots… maybe I need to try these for myself! Your Adalyn boots are gorgeous – and so versatile if they go with almost everything in your wardrobe.
