A Hotter Slippers Review

A Hotter Slippers Review

I have never really had a decent pair of slippers. Come to think of it, as I type this, I kind of feel a bit ‘grannyfied’ (no offence to the grannies out there!) but do I care? No, not really. I have always wanted some.

I am generally a person who feels the cold and that has increased ever since we moved to our current house over two years ago. Not because the area is colder. In fact, Somerset is one of the warmest counties in the country. The reason is because we have no carpets at all downstairs. We have a mixture of wooden, slate and tiled flooring – not at all comfortable on your feet.

Hotter Slippers on different floors

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE having no carpets. The floors are easier to clean, I think they are healthier for you as there are no carpets to hold any nasties and the stains are easier to remove. But they aren’t great on your feet.

Up until now I have been trying all sorts of footwear. That was until Hotter sent me a brand new pair of slippers from their Autumn and Winter 2015 range. And I ruddy love them.

I first became acquainted with Hotter last November when I went to their Exeter store and had to make a tricky decision on choosing a pair of shoes. The choice on slippers was a fair easier affair for me.

I chose the wonderfully named Flutter in grey and pink. Lined and trimmed with soft faux fur, the pattern is in a stylish grey with pink hearts. The sole is grooved for flexibility as well as a firmer foothold.

As I already own a pair of Hotter Shoes, I was interested to see how the slippers married up. They haven’t disappointed me. In fact, I regularly forget I am wearing them. They keep my feet warm (and believe me, I suffer badly from cold feet!) and it is a far more comfortable walk around the house!

I was also a little worried that they might be too warm for this time of year – and they are a bit. But I am not really bothered by that. The comfort overrules it!

They slip on and fit beautifully and, as an added benefit, they have removable insoles – for those times when they get a little bit whiffy and you need to freshen things up.

I think I may have lost them to Grace too. The day after I received them I found her wearing them, to be asked ‘Mum, do they do these in kids sizes?’. So, Hotter, time to bring out a kid’s range?

Want to see a bit more of what I thought last November? Here’s a video of me trying to make a decision!

I’dnever heard of Hotter until I read your post, but as a self-confessed shoe Addict, I had to look at their website. Their Donna shoes in pink are so cute! I normal wear babouches for slippers, but in the winter, I always get a pair of Ugg-like slippers. I couldn’t find Hotter’s warm slippers on their site. Maybe later in Autumn. X
