Outside. A Photography and Poetry Prompt.
If you follow me on Instagram then you would have seen me sharing photos of the Amchara Health Retreat; the place where I spent some time this week. It is utterly beautiful, calming, peaceful and the people are totally lovely.
The gardens are filled with flowers and wildlife plus there is an infrared sauna which overlooks the grounds. I have brought my camera with me and managed to take a number of photos. Below are just two of my favourites.
I have also spent a lot of time thinking about my life and re-analysing what I want to do and where I want to go. I have been detoxing and cleansing since Tuesday morning and I can’t tell you how much calmer and better I feel. I believe that my poem reflects this.
Outside In
From the outside, looking in
My body was making an awful din
No time to stop, no time to think
My life was a drama, like a kitchen sink
Re-charge, renew, re-energise
Looking at things with brand new eyes
A lighter feeling, a kind of calmer
I really believe there is a karma
Cleansing my body from the inside
All the knots have been untied

How lovely. I have some knots that need work too. xx
Brilliant little poem; beautiful, calm places seem to agree with you my lovely 🙂 x
I’ve been migraine battling all week and didn’t get a chance to write anything new. Be back next week I hope 🙂
Lovely poem and image, Victoria. The importance of taking care of our body–inside and out–is something we should all keep in mind. I’m glad the process is going well for you! Thank you for hosting #Prose4T and #Pocolo! I always look foward to both every week 🙂
Lovely poem! It’s so important to stop and take a break from our very busy lives sometimes.
It sounds exactly what was needed, I’m so pleased for you that it’s done the trick x
Cleansing from the inside sounds so good. x
It sounds like it was just what you needed and you have managed to convey that beautifully. Lovely to see you at BritMums, albeit briefly x
You’ve described a retreat perfectly here Vicky. The cleansing, the slowing down, the energising is amazing.
Just lovely
Thank you so much Becky 🙂 x
