With Fathers Day just around the corner, I recently had the opportunity to look at – and review – the gifts that Truprint had to offer Dads for their special day. Having already review their Mothers Day gifts back at the end of February (where did that go?!) I was keen to see what presents Grace and I could come up with for both Ross and my dad.
Having a look at their dedicated Fathers Day Gifts page over on their website, we found a number of ideas. We both know how much Ross dislikes clutter and things clogging up the house for no apparent reason so we wanted to make sure that the gifts Grace decided upon were something he would find useful.
Now when we were looking through the Truprint website, Ross was away on business. He has to generally go away at least once a month for an overnight stay to then return to us. He works very hard to support us and pay all the bills. When he left for the station he took with him a small flask of coffee to keep him going. Which gave us an idea. A travel mug. Even better though – one with photos of us on. That way he never needs to feel like he is fully away from us as he has our mugs looking at him from his mug!
The next item we decided upon was a notebook. Again, very useful. This will sit on his desk and will give him something to use for reminders or messages and, because it has some funny photos on the front of him and Grace, it will help to keep him smiling if he is having a tricky day at work (the monkey quote is something that he and Grace use regularly!).
Of course, no Fathers Day gifts are complete without a card and Truprint give you the chance to design your own unique card. Grace chose a photo for Ross which, for me, sums up the fun in their relationship.
As you can probably see from my images, the Truprint site is SO easy to use. You can upload photos from your computer, Facebook or Flickr amongst others and either put them into an album to save for other projects or just use them as a one-off. You can then preview your product before adding it to the shopping cart – where you can preview it and edit it again if necessary before ordering.
Finally, I needed to choose something for my step-dad. A number of years ago he presented me with a photo mug showing Grace dressed in a ladybird costume as one of my Christmas presents. It quickly became one of my favourites and is, in fact, sitting on my desk as I write this review! So, I decided to return the favour and ordered him a mug showing him with two of my other favourite people – my mum and Grace.
What I really love about Truprint is the variety of special gifts that you can order for your family. The photo gift element means that the present you give is unique. Not something that you can pick up in the shops that anyone can receive but something special for them, with meaning.
