This weekend I have decided to make a pledge to myself. It’s simple.
I NEED TO GET FIT.
I have had a couple of offers of reviews which involve fitness and diet. These include a review of the new ORB from Fitbug and a months worth of products from the fabulous Diet Chef. Plus, Ross is getting the chance to get a brand new pair of Asics trainers courtesy of JD Sports which means I can get mine back out of hiding and we can work out together!
Since moving to Somerset last June, I have been really lacking in the physical exercise stakes. I used to be a frequent visitor at either Pulse 8 or Nirvana Spa in Wokingham where you would find me on the Cross Trainer on a regular basis. I remember when the Olympics were on back in 2012 and the evening when Mo Farah won his second gold of the games. I walked it all the way! 🙂
At that point in my life I think I was the fittest I had ever been – I would think nothing of spending an hour and a half on the cross trainer watching music videos (one of my favourite past times!). Now, with the beautiful countryside on my doorstep, I am looking forward to finding a different past time. No, not water-logged field spotting but walking through some of the best scenery this country has to offer.
There are a number of walks around here that take you through some gorgeous fields and alongside some rivers. One of the places I am really excited about is Wayford Woods. It is a charitable trust area where you can find fairy doors in trees and old dolls houses turned into fairy houses. I am looking forward to picking up my fitness and spending many happy family times there.
The best thing about writing a blog is that once I have written down a pledge like this, I can’t really back out – after all, I wouldn’t live up to my blog title if I did, now would I?!
