Chard Reservoir – A Poem
Chard Reservoir
An expanse of water
So big and wide
Who knows how many
Wonders it hides
Finding some solitude
Both evening and morning
The bright orange sky
End of day and when dawning
So many different
Calls of bird song
All of them beautiful
Some short and some long
A Crested Grebe
Elegant, glides by
A flash of blue
As the Kingfisher flies
The Robin and Sandpiper
Side by side
Such wonderful sights
Right here in this hide
Peaceful and tranquil
No one around
This is my new happy
This place that I’ve found
