Victoria, Family Lifestyle Blogger
Hi, I am Victoria and I’m a fifty-something photographer, radio presenter, mother and writer of this blog. I live in the beautiful county of Somerset with my wonderful family. I have had a varied and interesting life with a number of different and, dare I say, successful careers. I began Verily Victoria Vocalises (or Vevivos) over a decade ago as a place to share my thoughts, experiences, and stories of family life. Over the years, it’s grown into a hub of honest parenting insights, lifestyle musings, and everything in between.
As well as a blogger, I am a professional photographer over at Victoria Welton Photography. I am also a presenter on a local community radio station, Radio Ninesprings. I started there back in March 2020, just as the Covid pandemic struck. I present the Home Run every weekday between 3 and 4pm and I also host an 80s show every Wednesday evening.
Ross
My husband, Ross Owen Williams, is a writer, radio presenter and business consultant. He had his first book published in May 2013 ‘The Hardcore Truth’, the autobiography of WWE wrestler Bob Holly. He wrote the film ‘Winter Ridge’ and is also a presenter for Radio Ninesprings. He and I have been together since February 2011 and we got married in 2024 on his birthday, 24th August. 24 holds quite a significance for us!
Ross suffers from fibromyalgia and is registered disabled due to the removal of his large intestine following a serious dose of ulcerative colitis. He is endlessly supportive, and we’re a real team in every aspect of our life.
Grace
Grace, my daughter, was born in January 2007. She’s studying beauty therapy and is already an incredible nail technician – her nail art skills blow me away. She’s creative, determined, and growing into a beautiful young woman both inside and out.
Rex
Born in June 2017, Rex is our chatty little whirlwind! He’s curious, full of questions, and completely obsessed with Minecraft. He has a big heart and a gentle soul – a real softie with a sparkle in his eye.
Our Family
Our family life is never boring! We love to have lots of fun together. We have Family Movie Nights, go out for day trips and love the theatre and holidays. We visit Center Parcs regularly – mainly for their Winter Wonderland – and we have a family tradition of a photo of Ross with the children at Longleat every 3 years. We were event featured on their Facebook page.
After living in Surrey most of my life, we moved to the beautiful countryside of Somerset back in 2013 and we are enjoying a slightly more relaxed approach to life where possible! As an added bonus, we are less than 30 minutes from the coast.
Ross and I tried for a baby for almost four years. In that time, I miscarried twice and following our second round of fertility treatment using an egg donor, our son, Rex, was born in June 2017, thanks to IVF Spain. We documented our journey on my vlog series, ‘The Conception Diaries’.
I am media and review friendly and very approachable. I am confident and talk….a lot, hence the title of my blog I guess! You will find me regularly over on social media – the links are in various places on this blog, including at the top on the home page in the sidebar.
Vevivos remains my place to reflect, connect, and share – whether that’s parenting highs and lows, personal reflections, reviews, or helpful resources. I’m so glad you’re here to be part of it. Life’s not always picture-perfect, but it’s ours – and I wouldn’t change a thing.
